Dear LVCS families and community,
I am honored to serve as the school district’s new Pre-K director for the 2026-2027 school year. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to help establish and lead this new program from the ground up. Building this program is an exciting challenge, and I look forward to creating a strong foundation that will support our youngest learners and their families.
This year marks the beginning of my 18th year with the district. Throughout my career I have served in a variety of roles, including teaching Kindergarten, first and second grade, and working as a Reading Coach. I have also taught several courses in Early Childhood Education at Luna Community College. These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for the importance of early learning and the impact that high-quality instruction has on a child’s educational journey.
I am eager to collaborate with our educators, families and community as we build this new Pre-K program together. My goal is to create a welcoming, engaging and developmentally appropriate learning environment where every child has the opportunity to thrive. I am truly thankful for the trust the district has placed in me, and I look forward to the work ahead as we grow this program together.
