Principal Vigil
Dear Los Niños Elementary Families,
I am thrilled to welcome you to the 2025-2026 school year! My name is Melissa Vigil, and I am
delighted to join the Los Niños family as your principal. As a native of Las Vegas and a proud
graduate of Robertson High School and New Mexico Highlands University, I have a deep love
for our community. I bring 19 years of experience in education, including 16 years teaching 7th-
grade Life Science, where I have had the pleasure of meeting many of you.
I look forward to partnering with you on your child’s educational journey. My fantastic staff and
I are eager to welcome all our families and students our school. We are a caring community
dedicated to helping every child excel, learn, and grow, making Los Niños Elementary a
wonderful place for our students.
As your principal, I, along with our teachers and staff, will continue to provide meaningful
academic experiences to enhance student achievement. It is essential to me that everyone who
enters our school feels welcome and excited to be here. This positive atmosphere allows us to
work together toward achieving academic excellence. I welcome your input in developing
solutions to ensure that Los Niños Elementary provides a strong foundation for educational
success for years to come.
As we prepare our children for the challenges of a new year, I look forward to working
collectively with you to help each student at Los Niños Elementary meet their goals and have a
